Job summary

S & M Partners in Whistler, BC is seeking a self-motivated Electrician with strong interpersonal skills to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work daytime shifts from 08:00 to 16:30, troubleshoot faults, test systems, and install wiring in residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has an Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent, Electrician Trade Certification, fluent English, and at least five years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity.
• Splice, join, and connect wires.
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Read and follow blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Install power generation, backup power generation, and power conditioning systems.
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables and underground wiring.
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities.

• The candidate will be in charge of troubleshooting and isolating faults.

• The candidate will be expected to renovate electrical systems in both residential and commercial buildings.
• The candidate will be responsible for reading, interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications and adhering to instructions and operating manuals
• The candidate must install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• The candidate will be expected to install power generation, backup power generation, and power conditioning systems.
• The candidate must install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
• The candidate must install underground wiring and cables.
