Our Electrical Department is excited to welcome a new team member. As part of the Operations Team, Electricians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure including power distribution, lift systems, snowmaking equipment, buildings, and other utilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic components and systems.
• Install, test, repair low voltage, PLC, panel installations, transformers, motors/controls and other applications.
• Collaborate with the Lift Operations team on lift system maintenance and operations.
• Supervise non-trade personnel as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
• Red Seal (Interprovincial) Certified Electrician (preferred).
• Experience with passenger ropeways and snowmaking systems is an asset.
• Strong diagnostic skills related to motor controls, PLCs, and AC/DC drives.
• Solid understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Knowledge of high voltage circuitry and protection devices
• Familiarity with VT SCADA or similar systems is an asset.
• Comfortable working at heights (e.g., trail lighting, lift towers).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Physically capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work shifts, holidays, and overtime as required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Any additional safety training (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection) is considered an asset.
40.60-43.90/hour (DOE)
