Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Ontario is seeking an Industrial Electrician/Maintenance technician to install, repair and maintain electrical systems, program PLCs and read electrical drawings to keep production running smoothly.

Two-week rotation (days, nights, afternoons) with overtime on launches; wage $44.02–$49.02/hour with shift premiums, plus pension, benefits and training opportunities. 3–5 years in automotive and a QC Electrician certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification in Industrial/Construction Electrician recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Three to five years' experience in an automotive environment.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and electronic components such as motors, switches, drives, PLC's, robots and sensors.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, robotics, pneumatics, and welding.

THE POSITION

• Two week rotation - Days, Nights, Afternoons
• Install, repair, and maintain various electrical systems and equipment
• Program and maintain PLC's, ensuring that programming meets the requirements established for the effective operation of production equipment.
• Performs various duties such as replacing defective wiring and making connections to new electrical installations.
• Actively participate in the development and achievement of team quality goals and objectives, continuous improvement ideas and projects, and environmental objectives and targets.
• Support launches and production demands as deemed necessary with overtime.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Offer
