Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is hiring an Electrician to install and service data/AV/CCTV cabling, conduct grounding/bonding, and route 120V wiring. You will review installation blueprints from Project Managers and Sales, and adapt solutions to complete projects to client satisfaction.

The role includes travel across multiple locations with potential night shifts, and opportunities to work on traditional electrical components while growing your skillset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
• Journeyman's Red Seal Electrician ticket (TQ) with industrial/utility experience; apprentices considered.
• Experience with conduit pathways, grounding, bonding, and 120V power wiring.
• Able to work in varied environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and no restrictions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bondable and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Install and service cabling infrastructure for Data/AV/CCTV; pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing per specs.
• Install grounding, bonding, EMT and flex conduit pathways; install devices and 120V wiring.
• Install network racks and cabinets; travel 25-50% of the time; mentor team members.
• Review, understand, and implement installation blueprints from Project Managers and Sales Teams.
• Ensure safety, quality programs adherence, and detailed documentation (OHS checks, checklists, as-builts).
• May work night shifts as required by project/service needs.

Job description

As an Electrician with BoschBuilding Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze for correctness, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations of data and structured cabling systems. This role requires the ability and know-how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable ofadjustingor finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

In addition to the installation, service, and maintenance of integrated low-voltage systems this position will have the opportunity to work on traditional electrical components as well. We are hiring across four locations: Prince George, Quesnel, Vanderhoof & Fort St John.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual andCCTV;includespre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings.
• Perform electrical work as required, this could include:
  • Install grounding and bonding
  • Install EMT and flex conduit pathways
  • Install devices such as card readers, door contacts, access control panels
  • Install 120V power wiring
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
• Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.
• Adhere to Paladin’s Quality and Safety programs.
• Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results.
• Consistently provide high levels of customer service
• TRAVEL REQUIRED: This role will require extensive travel (Monday – Friday, 25-50% of the time).
• You may be required to work "night shifts" when needed based on project/service requirements
• Support, lead, and mentor team members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
• Journeyman's Red Seal Electrician ticket (TQ) and experience with industrial or utility work. We will consider late-term apprentices as well
• Experience with installing conduit pathways, grounding, bonding, and 120V power wiring
• Flexibility to work in a variety of environments
• Comfortable working at heights and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Must be bondable and able to pass a background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in building controls, automation, and/or telecom will be considered advantage
• Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low voltage industry(s)
• Experience pulling, terminating, and testing cat5/6 cables and other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets,etc.).
• Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent (considered an asset)

Hourly Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00
