Job summary

PaperWorks Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrician to work full-time at our facility in Kitchener, Ontario. The role includes maintenance duties, PLC programming, and adherence to Electrical Safety Code, with a rotating 12-hour shift (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights).

The starting hourly rate is $40.25–$43.19 CAD, with shift premiums and a discretionary bonus program; health & dental, disability benefits, and a group pension are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed 442A or 309A Electrician with strong working knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code.
• Strong working experience with PLC programming.
• Capable to inspect, test, and repair electronic boards.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the Maintenance team to complete scheduled PMs and support continuous improvement of the PM program.
• Respond to breakdowns with urgency.
• Troubleshoot controls and electrical equipment and restore operation.
• Create/develop and program PLCs as required.
• Complete detailed work logs for repairs to support predictive maintenance.
• Follow Electrical Safety Code at all times.
• Provide guidance and training to apprentices and junior tradespersons.
• Other duties as required.
• Operate rotating 12-hour continental shift schedule (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights).

Summary

PaperWorks is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to work on a full-time, permanent basis out of our facility at 120 Trillium Drive in Kitchener, Ontario.

We offer a competitive compensation package which includes health & dental benefits and disability benefits, as well as a group pension program. Starting hourly pay rate of $40.25-$43.19, plus shift premiums and a discretionary bonus program.
