Job summary

Magna Mining Inc. is seeking four experienced Electricians to join our Levack Mine team in the Greater Sudbury area. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, with emphasis on underground operations and safety.

The role requires an Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience. Certifications such as 309A or 442A are preferred, and you will work within a safety-focused, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent certification/experience is required.
• Certification of Qualification (309A) or 442A is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical work in mining or similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems underground.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Diagnose faults and safely restore equipment to service.
• Ensure all work complies with Ontario mining regulations and the Electrical Safety Code.
• Lock out, tag out and verify energy isolation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and teams.
• Identify, report, and correct electrical hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas underground.

Job Description

We are currently seeking 4 (four) experienced Electricians to join our team at Levack Mine!

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, controls, lighting, and communication systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Diagnose electrical faults and safely restore equipment to service.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with Ontario mining regulations, the Electrical Safety Code, and company policies.
• Lock out, tag out, and verify energy isolation before performing work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance teams, and operations personnel.
• Identify, report, and correct electrical hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas underground.

Requirements

Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

• Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent certification/experience.
• Certification of Qualification or red seal as 309A or 442A is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
