Work Schedule:

Duties
- Resolve equipment issues through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and countermeasure (CM) implementation
- Develop and close downtime reports
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) checks, including equipment condition monitoring and in-process PMs
- Document daily activities: equipment changes, downtime calls, work orders (WO), investigations, and CM results
- Communicate work order (WO) feedback, participate in production meetings, review WO backlog, and coordinate activities with other shifts
- Support business themes or project-based improvements
- Engage in continuous self-driven learning: self-teaching, equipment understanding, and creating/sharing technical documentation
- Work preparation, assess line conditions, communicate, develop testing plans, and stage parts
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tool cribs, machine workstations, and office areas
- Source spare parts: obtain quotes, negotiate with vendors, and clarify part specifications
- Complete incident reports as required by the department
- New equipment specification review and support (risk assessments, commissioning checks, Genba reviews)
Requirements
- Industrial Electrician (442A) trade license OR 309A Construction Maintenance (309A) trade licence OR Post-secondary Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist graduate with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with team members, contractors, and vendors to coordinate and complete projects and activities
- Robot troubleshooting, manipulation and programming experience (Fanuc and Yaskawa)
- Motion control knowledge, including Servo and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and transfer equipment
- Effectively utilize measurement equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures (e.g., Scope, Digital Multimeter (DMM)
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
- Knowledge of PLC and Safety PLC systems, with experience in ladder logic programming, particularly with Mitsubishi and or Allen Bradley systems
- Experience with Maximo Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for logging maintenance activity and ordering parts
- Evaluation of production lines to identify spare parts and preventative maintenance requirements
- Project management experience (ability to manage contractors and construction projects)
- Equipment integration experience that includes installation, setup, troubleshooting and commissioning
