Job Description - Electrical Technician/Technologist

We are seeking an Intermediate Electrical & Systems Technician to support the transition from production to commissioning in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

This role involves working directly with electrical racks, cabling, and supporting system commissioning, fault detection, and debugging activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, testing, and troubleshooting—preferably in a field or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support commissioning activities including system integration, configuration, and testing.
  • Perform hands-on work with electrical racks, cable installations, and network/electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and debug systems using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and other diagnostic tools.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Interpret engineering documents, schematics, and technical orders to identify faults and determine troubleshooting methods.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain necessary clearances through the Canadian Government.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a systems engineering environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other electrical test equipment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, integration, configuration, and testing of electrical and network systems.
  • Familiarity with common hand tools and electrical tools.
  • Experience with cabling, radio frequency systems, routers, switches, and general electrical systems.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Canadian shock and vibration requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and design standards.

Pay and Benefits:
