We are seeking an electrical technician to join our team for special projects in digital health. This role requires a self-motivated individual to work in our R&D department, located in downtown Winnipeg.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Hands-on experience in soldering, desoldering, and assembling electronic PCBs (SMT and through-hole components)
  • Ability to read PCB layouts and extract BOMs from hardware design software such as Eagle
  • Experience in debugging assembled electronic hardware
  • Familiarity with the Arduino IDE
  • Strong organizational skills for preparing BOMs and updating inventory lists
  • Experience in mechanical assembly and 3D printing is an asset
Duties
  • Assemble electronic hardware for various projects, including tiny SMT and through-hole components
  • Debug electronic hardware as needed
  • Update and organize inventory lists for electronic and mechanical components
  • Search for and order components from vendors such as Digi-Key, Mouser, and Alibaba
  • Upload and update firmware on assembled PCBs using the Arduino IDE (training provided)
  • Collaborate with the R&D and marketing teams to source components and materials for projects
  • Assemble mechanical components such as brass inserts and nuts, and create silicone molds for different projects (training provided)
  • Participate in technical meetings
Salary

Compensation will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
