Job summary

TEEMA in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead electrical systems design within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of experience, an electrical engineering degree (preferred), and strong skills in requirements development, architecture, integration and V&V.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Electrical Systems Design / Electrical Systems Engineering.
• Engineering degree required; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with systems requirements development, systems architecture, electrical design/engineering, integration and/or V&V.
• Ability to provide technical leadership/oversight to a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with Mechanical, Systems, Software and Integration teams.

What you will be doing:

• Function as an Electrical Systems Engineer within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Majority of time will be spent working with the technical team, with approximately 20% interaction with Project Engineering (PE) and Project Management (PM).
• Work closely with:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Software
  • Integration
• Current program/team size is approximately 5-10 people.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight.
• Coordinate technical activities across the team.
• Identify and resolve engineering problems.
• Communicate technical issues, decisions and progress to the broader project team.
• Must be comfortable operating across disciplines rather than working solely within electrical design.

What you must have:

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Electrical Systems Design / Electrical Systems Engineering.
• Engineering degree required; Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with:
