Position Overview

Reporting to the District Manager, the Electrical Superintendent will be the most senior manager on site, responsible for leading electrical construction projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Ensuring adherence to work safety and safe work practices
  2. Developing a good understanding of the project scope, including IFC drawings and specifications
  3. Supervising all operational activities related to electrical work
  4. Ensuring quality work within scheduled time and budget
  5. Coordinating QA/QC activities and documentation
  6. Managing manpower, including subcontractors, materials, and equipment
  7. Approving as-built drawings and documents, RFIs, and SCNs
  8. Maintaining effective communication with clients, QA/QC, estimators, inspectors, and other contractors
  9. Leading site meetings related to safety, scheduling, and progress
  10. Coordinating electrical permits and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
  • Journeyman Electrician with at least 10 years of experience leading E&I construction projects
  • Knowledge of commercial electrical systems
  • Proven track record of delivering profitable projects on time and to high standards
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Experience in project and construction management
Employment Details
  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Location: Edmonton, AB (On-site)
  • Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with overtime and weekends as needed
  • Vacancies: 1
