Job summary

Hypertec Group in Montreal is seeking an Electrical Specialist to join the Industrial Solutions team. You will translate customer specs into technical solutions and analyze complex electrical drawings to support NPIs and prototype development.

You will coordinate BOMs and electrical drawings, validate first-article quality, and help scale production while troubleshooting issues in development and production. A hybrid work model and strong benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Over 3 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in an OEM environment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and to program PLCs.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving aptitudes.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interface documentation, and engineering specs.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials and electrical drawings.
• Ensure engineering changes are documented and controlled.
• Validate first article manufacturing quality from vendors.
• Support test procedures and manufacturing documentation development.
• Coordinate prototype builds and engineering validation activities for mass production.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic issues during development and production.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing during production.
• Assist investigations of customer returns and quality issues.

What You’ll Be Contributing:

What Sets You Apart:

• Bachelor diploma in relevant field or equivalent.
• Over 3 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering within OEM environment
• Mechanical and electrical skills.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings & program PLC
• Experience with electrical and electronic assemblies.
• ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving aptitudes.
• Good sense of organization, planning and problem solving.
• Developed autonomy and positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to perform work in a production and development environment.
