Job summary

Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario seeks an Electrical Engineering & Project Management associate to design equipment, program PLCs and HMIs, and manage projects from concept through execution.

You will lead investigations, coordinate with quality, safety and purchasing, and supervise contractors and vendors to deliver robust solutions. The role requires a recognized engineering credential, strong CAD/ECAD capabilities, and hands-on testing of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or Technologist diploma or equivalent
• Ability to create and/or interpret electrical schematics and drawings
• Experience with PLC programming and HMIs
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead projects of various complexities, including initial investigation, project and budget approval, resource management, testing, and implementation
• Develop proposals and deliver presentations to all levels of management
• Collaborate with various departments on equipment specification, design, and procurement
• Lead and support equipment commissioning, modifications, and installations
• Create, modify, or review electrical designs using CATIA, AutoCAD, and simulation software
• Create or revise electrical control programs for PLCs, robots, HMIs and related components
• Utilize RCA to develop and implement equipment improvements for safety, quality, efficiency and reliability
• Prepare reports and documentation for downtime, RCA, countermeasures, status updates and follow-ups
