Job summary

David Aplin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Alberta to lead electrical projects from scope to delivery. You will coordinate internal teams and external vendors, manage budgets, and drive performance while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role calls for 3+ years in PM and estimating within the electrical field, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A technical diploma or degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in project management and estimating within the electrical industry.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management and estimating tools (e.g., Procore, SiteDocs, Accubid).
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality assurance processes.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Educational background preferred: technical diploma or degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Additional beneficial skills: familiarity with new technologies and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resources, and budgets
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and manage financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure on-time, within-scope, and within-budget delivery
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, partners, and project teams
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
• Maintain detailed project documentation and reporting
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Implement innovative solutions to improve project efficiency
