Job summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical for its Saint-Laurent, Canada location. You will design auxiliary power systems including transformers, switchgear, diesel generator systems, battery systems, and related cabling and cable transit layouts. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of related experience (3 years in auxiliary power design).
A P.Eng. designation is required, travel up to 20%, and fluency in French is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 5 years related experience, including 3 years in auxiliary power design.
- Experience in design, installation and commissioning of auxiliary power systems.
- Experience in indoor/outdoor electrical equipment layouts and cable design for substations and utilities.
- P.Eng. designation is required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide on-site engineering support, supervise installation and commissioning.
- Design, prepare and review sizing calculations and documents for auxiliary equipment.
