We currently have an Electrical Project Coordinator Coop opportunity for talented and creative individuals who are motivated and technically inclined. This is an 8 or 12 month coop placement starting in May 2025, where you will work on major projects in the downtown core.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers, Project Teams, and Site Superintendent.
  • Aid Project Managers in organizing and distributing project-related documents and drawings.
  • Perform data system entries such as setting up purchase orders, entry of change orders, and updating construction schedules.
  • Prepare pre-qualification packages for the division.
  • Create, log, and track communications and documents for the project.
  • Control documentation of all site paperwork.
  • Participate in operational meetings such as project delivery meetings and staff reviews.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must possess a valid Secret Security clearance.
  • Working towards a post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience; consideration given to those interested in electrical power engineering.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry, particularly field work, is a strong asset.
  • Comfort and ability to work on-site.
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with project or construction management software is an asset.
  • Experience with construction project estimation is an asset.
  • Attention to detail, strong reading and writing skills.
  • Effective communication skills to develop productive working relationships.
  • Sense of urgency and drive to succeed in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful problem-solver, energetic, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player.
