Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Residential Services Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, or Shift Supervisor. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Recover and repair electrical and mechanical issues/errors on the material handling system.
• Reset errors caused by luggage, equipment, or operators.
• Assist engineers with fault finding and maintenance activities.
• Carry out maintenance and cleaning of assets and surrounding areas.
• Support activities with BEUMER Group products and systems in response to customer requirements.
• Monitor the performance of the material handling system.
• Adhere to quality and reporting systems (CMMS System).
• Comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
• Provide feedback and intelligence to BEUMER Group management.
• Report spare parts usage in the CMMS System.
• Follow escalation procedures when needed.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Industrial Electrician 309A certificate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial facilities working with baggage handling and/or automated systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• RAIC Security Clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain it.
• Strong strategic insight and comprehension.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Relevant system and product knowledge.
• Experience with High-level control (SAC) is a plus.
• Understanding of PLCs and programming tools.
• Experience with Field Profibus and test-tools.
• Ability to work with IT and network communication.
• Proficiency in using computers and maintenance software, including MS Office suite.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and variable temperatures.
• Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Frequent walking, bending, and standing throughout large airport facilities.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
