Job summary

CIMA+ is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join the Western Canada Buildings team in a hybrid role, working from the Vancouver Downtown Office. You will design electrical systems for diverse projects, collaborate with engineers, and coordinate with other disciplines.

The role offers growth on high-quality projects, exposure to planning through construction, and opportunities to advance within a employee-owned firm that values balance and development.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering with 4 years of experience.
• Eligible to registry with EGBC as in EIT
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint. REVIT is an asset
• Experience on healthcare would be an asset
• Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Analytical, thorough,resourcefuland detail-oriented
• Strong senseof personal responsibility andself starter

Responsibilities

• Design, drafting, and modelling of electrical systems for buildings including lighting, lighting controls, power distribution, communication, security, and fire alarm.
• Working with engineers to ensure that design aspects have been incorporated.
• Coordination with other building disciplines.
• Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Site visits to review existing site conditions or for documentation of ongoing construction projects.
• Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.
