Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s Timberstrand plant in Kenora, Ontario, seeks an Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to lead a team of electricians, technicians and contractors in safety, maintenance and quality goals. You will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and drive reliability in a 24/7, non-union manufacturing environment.

You will plan, develop and supervise day-to-day activities, coach staff, and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize output while adhering to site

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
• Trades certification or post-secondary diploma in technology or engineering.
• Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP) and process control (PLC) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily activities of Electrical team including electricians, process control technicians and contractors.
• Ensure safety and quality across equipment and facilities to meet plant objectives.
• Plan and schedule electrical work to minimize production impact.
• Troubleshoot to maintain uptime, production volume and quality targets.
• Develop team through coaching and professional development.
• Utilize computer-based systems to prioritize maintenance requests and manage inventory.
• Resolve issues promptly while upholding site policies and procedures.
