Job summary

NIR-YU in New Brunswick, Canada, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Electrician to lead mill-wide electrical upkeep. The role requires living in New Brunswick and offers on-site work with day, night, or rotating shifts to keep critical equipment running.

You will troubleshoot, repair and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring safety and compliance while coordinating with drives/PLCs/DCS systems for reliable plant performance.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or an equivalent technical degree in Electrical/Instrumentation.
• Experience with Drives, PLCs and DCS systems.
• Supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Commitment to safety and ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mill-wide equipment and machinery.
• Work days, nights or a combination of both.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mill-wide equipment and machinery
• Working days, nights or a combination of both
• Supervise, train, direct maintenance personnel

Requirements:

• Demonstrated work history and a commitment to safety is a must
• Journeyman's Electrical license, have knowledge of Drives / PLCs / DCS
• Licenced Electrician or a technical degree/diploma in the Electrical and /or Instrumentation discipline
• Supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment
• The ability to diagnose, repair and maintain equipment
• Bilingual: FRENCH a must, English an asset
