Job Description

De Beers Group has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated individual to support the Electrical & Instrumentation team at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. The incumbent shall support the work management process of resource coordination and scheduling and shall report to the E&I Superintendent and working a hybrid shift of 5 days a week from the Yellowknife/Calgary Office for 3 weeks and from Gahcho Kué Mine Site for a week every month. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead Powerhouse spare parts inventory reviews, warranty management, and cores return management with OEM;
  • Support development of Powerhouse equipment, Bill of material, Maintenance plans and PM checklists in SAP;
  • Execute the “Resource Coordination” element to ensure effective utilization of resources for scheduled work
  • Execute the “Schedule Work” element of Anglo American’s Operating Model using Prometheus Scheduler;
  • Build effective bi-weekly schedules for work execution and lead the schedule review meetings;
  • Review the work orders daily to schedule new work, backlog work or track upcoming work;
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure proper coordination of scheduled work;
  • Create purchase requisitions for materials and services to ensure timely execution of work packages;
  • Use Prometheus Materials availability coordinator to track delivery of parts for scheduled work;
  • Develop and maintain Prometheus capacity planner using Shift Updater to track resource availability and loading;
  • Schedule training for crews by working with both internal and external OEM training providers;
  • Manage site access and onboarding of contractors, employees and visitors;

Reporting to the E&I Superintendent, role is based in the E&I department. This is a hybrid shift of 5 days a week from the Yellowknife/Calgary Office for 3 weeks and from Gahcho Kué Mine Site for a week every month.

Qualifications

Formal Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Office Administration or Computer science, or equivalent;
  • Proven experience in using multiple computer software or applications;
  • Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills;
  • Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP;
  • A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment; and
  • Ability to learn new computer software or web based applications; and
  • Motivated and Self-driven

What is Beneficial for this Role:
