Job summary

Associated Engineering is seeking an Intermediate/Senior EIC Engineer to join their Saskatoon office. The role focuses on the design and technical delivery of electrical systems for various projects including water and wastewater facilities across Western Canada. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, 5-15 years of experience, and a commitment to teamwork and mentoring. The position offers flexible working arrangements and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 5-15 years of relevant experience in a professional engineering workplace.
  • Registered as a P.Eng. with APEGS.
  • Experienced in design of medium and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Experienced in preparation of proposals, project plans, and estimates.
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and technical delivery focused on electrical projects.
  • Provide electrical engineering services to clients.
  • Work on multi-discipline projects including water treatment and industrial sites.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.

Responsibilities
  • You will lead design and technical delivery focused on electrical, with some instrumentation and controls projects on industrial, municipal, water and wastewater facilities throughout Western Canada.
  • You will work with engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide electrical engineering services to a variety of internal and external clients.
  • You will be active in the design, project management, and business development of power and automation systems with instrumentation to monitor low/medium voltage electrical service, process, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centres, low voltage electrical distributions systems, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Projects will include water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial sites, water and wastewater pumping stations, greenhouses, buildings and more.
  • You will work closely with our skilled team of junior, intermediate, and senior engineers, technicians, and support staff across the country.
  • You will also mentor and support junior and intermediate team members, supporting their growth and skill development.
  • As the successful candidate, you will have worked on team projects preferably with multi-discipline portions, are an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills, learn quickly, are excited to learn and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • You strive to contribute to the collective effort of your area of practice and are committed to helping Associated Engineering and the project team achieve their goals.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or an associated discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • 5-15 years of relevant experience gained in a professional engineering workplace setting.
  • Registered, and in good standing, as a P.Eng. with APEGS.
  • Experienced in the design of medium and low voltage electrical systems, automation systems, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control centres, instrumentation, low voltage electrical distributions systems, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
