Lamb Weston in Taber, AB is seeking an Electrical Journeyman I to analyze and repair electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support daily operations on our production lines. Qualifications

• Must communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to be qualified within facility time frames.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Familiarity with data entry and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow written or diagrammed instructions.
• Preferred Journeyman Electrician ticket.

Responsibilities

• Installs electrical systems and components.
• Inspects and maintains existing electrical systems for functionality and safety.
• Diagnoses and repairs electrical issues promptly.
• Performs preventative maintenance electrical testing and adjustments and documents work through SAP.
• Updates CMMS with status and details of work order results daily.
• Performs non-routine maintenance jobs as assigned.
• Keeps workspaces organized and supports 5S practices.

Job Description Summary

This position analyzes and corrects electrical problems and repairs and overhauls electrical equipment and controls with supervision dependent on location’s skills matrix. The position efficiently responds to line calls and conduct preventative maintenance on a regular basis.

• Maintains organized workspaces, tools, support 5S, and documentation.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral.
• Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
• Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
