Intent of the process
Create an inventory of candidates for current and future vacancies, including various tenures, linguistic profiles, and security requirements. Immediate need: 1 position in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Essential qualifications include:
- Journeyperson Certification in Mechanical or Electrical Trade, or Post-secondary training in Electrical Generation, or Canadian Forces Certification as Electrical Generator Systems Technician Level 5, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in electrical generation, repair of engines and generators, understanding of AC/DC theory, and reading electrical schematics.
Additional qualifications and certifications such as First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, and Aerial Lift are assets.
Applicants must meet language, security, and physical requirements, and adhere to ethical standards. Conditions may include security clearance, driver’s license, physical demands, and travel.
Preference may be given to veterans, Canadian citizens, and Indigenous persons, with considerations for military spouses. Applications must include a valid email address.
