Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Electrical Field Engineer - Saudi National to oversee and support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on large-scale airport projects.

This role involves hands-on field involvement, coordination with contractors and project teams, and quick resolution of technical issues, all while maintaining safety and quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Supervise electrical system installations, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, backup generators, and control systems.
  2. Ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and safety standards.
  3. Coordinate with construction teams for smooth and scheduled electrical work execution.
  4. Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including various testing methods and functional checks.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing or commissioning to ensure system reliability.
  6. Monitor work quality and compliance with electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, NFPA).
  7. Inspect installations to verify adherence to design and manufacturer specifications.
  8. Address quality issues with contractors to meet high standards.
  9. Serve as a point of contact for electrical field issues, supporting the construction team and stakeholders.
  10. Participate in progress meetings, provide updates, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  11. Identify and resolve electrical issues on-site, ensuring project progress.
  12. Collaborate with the design team to resolve discrepancies between design and site conditions.
  13. Assist in resolving technical installation issues.
  14. Ensure safety standards and regulations are followed, including local electrical codes and OSHA requirements.
  15. Promote safety protocols and participate in safety audits and briefings.
  16. Maintain documentation of activities, tests, inspections, and modifications.
  17. Report progress, delays, and issues affecting the schedule.
  18. Assist in training junior staff and on-site personnel.
  19. Contribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing.

Required Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
  2. At least 3 years of electrical engineering experience, with 2 years in field engineering or construction, preferably in airports or commercial projects.
  3. Hands-on experience with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
  4. Strong understanding of electrical systems and standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA).
  5. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and documentation.
  6. Proficiency with electrical testing tools and equipment.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  8. Effective communication skills for working with various teams.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  10. Certifications such as OSHA, NFPA 70E are advantageous.
  11. Knowledge of airport electrical systems is preferred.
  12. Familiarity with project management tools.
  13. Safety training certifications (First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30-hour).
