Are you looking for a fresh start on a new team? If you have completed a minimum of five (5+) years experience estimating electrical ICI projects in North America, then this is your next step.

Join this established, Etobicoke based electrical new construction contractor with over 20 years experience, executing Institutional, Commercial and Industrial projects throughout the GTA. Truly a team effort with a straightforward approach, this team has projects scheduled for the next 2-3 years in the $2M-$4M range electrically. Secure your future and join their next chapter!

Qualifications:

1. Be able to work accurately and effectively under pressure with hard deadline dates; at times with several priorities closing within close time proximity to each other.
2. Must have very good communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Must have strong attention to detail with practical and logical thinking.
4. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF, etc.).
5. Experience with Accubid would be an asset.
6. Should have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
7. Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent field experience; designation as a P.Eng. or C.E.T. would be considered an asset.
8. Construction experience, specifically in Electrical, would be an asset.

Duties:

1. Work with Senior Electrical Estimator to develop project estimates and budgets.
2. Review documents, specifications, proposals, and addendums in preparation of estimates.
3. Participate in Request for Proposal/Pricing (“RFP”) responses and client pursuits.
4. Provide Project Managers with estimating and pricing support for Change Orders on major construction projects.
5. Communicate with engineers, owners, vendors, and other contractors to support Company estimating activities.
6. Develop and manage relationships with estimating teams of major construction General Contractors to identify upcoming opportunities.
7. Manage deadlines and multi-task as needed to complete required estimating activities.
8. Lead internal closing meetings to confirm pricing, markup, and bidding approach on pursuits.
9. Lead or support post-tender bidding qualification meetings with clients as needed.
10. Work in an individual and team setting to accomplish client and business goals.
