They provide a variety of services to support our electrical and gas energy infrastructure. Their operations include underground primary distribution, substation expansion, gas RTU and odorization electrical services, standby generator systems, public and municipal projects, and system controls.


Job Summary:
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for managing the bidding process for a portfolio of electrical projects, managing the procedural workflow for assigned bids, creating accurate bid estimates and documentation, and ultimately tracking the completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
Specific duties of the Electrical Estimator will include, but not be limited to:

  • Perform all work associated with the bidding process
    • Attend pre-bid meetings
    • Coordinate with vendors for pricing
    • Complete material takeoffs
    • Process and track submittal documents
    • Process and track RFI’s
    • Prepare and submit accurate project estimates and bids
    • Produce and distribute correspondences, memos, letters, and forms
    • Track the performance of projects to review completion, costs, etc. and assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
    • Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong estimating and project tracking skills.
  • Knowledge of construction project documents (contracts, drawings, specifications) and procedures is required.
  • Electrical knowledge and a familiarity with code requirements.
  • Proficient with computer applications/software; experience with Microsoft Office applications required, including Microsoft Project, Bid to Win, Accu – Bid and Bluebeam experience a plus.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills along with attention to detail. Must be self-motivated.
  • Must understand construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts.
  • 10 Hour OSHA Training.

Compensation:
  • $70,000-$80,000 based on experience
