Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review and understand job specifications and drawings, and follow through with estimating processes to develop competitive bids.
• Conduct site / tender walk-throughs to cross-reference drawings, avoid site interferences, and identify proactive solutions.
• Produce material and labour take-offs using estimating software to develop accurate quotations.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify specifications and wording.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for inclusion in the final quotation.
• Participate in handover meetings with the project management team after the award.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum five (5) years of estimating experience within the electrical construction industry.
• An Electrical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent trade experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Office; proficiency with Accubid Pro and / or Enterprise, and Live Count is a plus.
