We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in preparing competitive and accurate electrical bids.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and track all incoming tender requests and related documents.
• Review tender packages and ensure all necessary drawings, specifications, and addenda are obtained.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Develop and submit tenders within required deadlines.
• Maintain a database of tender submissions, pricing, and historical cost information.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with the project management team to transition awarded projects into execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator in construction or contracting.
• Proficiency with Accubid estimating software, as well as Excel.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and construction practices.
• Experience in estimating both small projects and large-scale contracts.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code and relevant regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
