Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Canada seeks a Specialist – Electrical Engineering to design, develop, and deliver transit electronics solutions. You will work with engineers and software developers, collaborating with product management and operations to meet contract requirements and customer needs.

Responsibilities include hardware/software design, debugging, and validation across IEC/CMMI frameworks. Travel to customer sites (10–25%) is expected, with a comprehensive benefits package and career growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering with 5+ years in Electrical and/or Software design.
• Embedded systems, communications, and programming experience.
• Strong PCB design principles and hardware integration knowledge.
• Experience with prototype bring-up, hardware validation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in embedded software development and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and internal processes, and deliver accordingly.
• Interact with peers, stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
• Organize and prioritize project deliverables and deadlines.
• Manage document revision control and technical writing.
• Support transition of designs to manufacturing with DFM/DFT reviews.
• Participate in process improvements and project scheduling.
