Egis Canada is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure in Gatineau, QC. The role emphasizes traffic signal and highway lighting design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to electrical codes and municipal standards.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of electrical engineering experience, a P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation with OIQ in good standing.
• Minimum 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in traffic signal and/or highway lighting projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, including traffic signal and highway lighting.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Perform design reviews for technical accuracy and code compliance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integration within broader designs.
• Provide guidance to junior staff during project execution.
• Support client meetings and technical discussions.
• Conduct field inspections to verify installations against designs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare technical reports supporting design development and QA.
• Contribute to standards, templates, and engineering procedures.
