Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. in British Columbia, Canada is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design on semiconductor manufacturing projects and other industrial facilities.

You will contribute to electrical design efforts, coordinate with discipline leads, and support installation and startup activities in a hybrid work environment. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of building electrical systems experience, with NFPA 70/IEEE knowledge and ETAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards.
• Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers.
• Experience with power system modeling software, preferably ETAP.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce installation details, single-line diagrams, electrical room layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plans.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate activities across disciplines.
• Learn client expectations, scope, budget and schedule and communicate design changes promptly.
• Take ownership of the schedule and technical quality of assigned tasks.
• Grow into higher-level responsibilities as you develop your skills.
