A leading company in marine HVAC-R seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop control systems for large vessels. The role involves programming PLCs, troubleshooting, and working with global teams to innovate solutions in marine environments. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in Automation.
What will be your role?
Reporting to the Automation Controls Director, the Electrical Engineer will work with the project team to design and develop systems, install (commission), troubleshoot, repair, and program control systems for Marine HVAC (including electrical, algorithm, and software design) for Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems installed in large marine vessels.
The incumbent will play an important role as part of a team to develop products and systems for global projects by embracing new controls/technologies, working with shipyards worldwide to reduce ship cabling and build costs through innovative solutions. The Automation Engineer will also act as the company's “expert” in Electrical Systems during installation (commissioning), troubleshooting, repairing, and programming control systems in vessels.
