Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity, specifically related to machine vision systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experiments. Knowledge of 3D profilers, PoE devices, and industrial EMC and Safety standards are required.

Bilingual Requirement : Must be fluent in French and English.

Looking for candidates that can evolve in a French environment as all communications will be held in French. Please ensure your proficiency in French is highlighted in your resume.

This position is available in our Saint-Laurent, Quebec Canada office only.

Responsibilities :

  • Designs, develops, and tests on a variety of electrical engineering assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project, particularly in machine vision applications.
  • Develops and tests documentation which describes the specific electrical functionality.
  • Participates in and provides input during project code reviews.
  • Runs tests designed by more experienced engineers, with an emphasis on machine vision and related technologies.
  • Reviews test results and performs root cause analyses to identify problems.
  • Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues, ensuring compliance with quality processes and standards.
  • Makes changes to or upgrades existing electrical designs, focusing on enhancing machine vision capabilities.
  • Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions in machine vision.
  • Makes and implements recommendations to the immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity.
  • Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems, particularly those related to 3D profiling and PoE technologies.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects, or assignments.
  • May provide guidance to non-exempt personnel.
  • Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.
  • Engages primarily in intra-organizational communication, with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters, especially regarding EMC compliance.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
  • Bilingual Requirement : Must be fluent in French and English.
  • Experience with High power electronic products, DC-DC regulators, dynamic voltage regulators and IEEE 802.3 standards.
  • Experience with High-speed Link Simulations (Hyperlinx) and Industrial GPIO

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Machine Vision Systems or Vision Systems
  • Knowledge of 3D profilers, PoE devices, and industrial EMC and Safety standards.
  • Knowledge of Rolling shutter sensors or Global shutter sensors and coding using C++
  • Exposure to Laser safety class 2B
