Zebra is seeking an Electrical Engineer II for the Advanced Data Capture group in Mississauga, hybrid- onsite 3 days a week. You will design, test and refine imaging-based data capture solutions for retail, warehouse, and factory applications.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical, and Manufacturing teams, with CADENCE schematic entry and hands-on hardware design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
• 2+ years of electronic hardware design experience required.
• Experience with schematic capture and entry (Cadence a strong plus).
• Embedded systems knowledge and RF design familiarity.
• PCB layout fundamentals and circuit simulation understanding.
• Strong verbal and written communication within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test data capture products as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical and Manufacturing Engineers.
• Review test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems.

(Hybrid- Minimum of 3 days in the office per week).## ## **Responsibilities**:* Works as part of a larger team led by more senior engineers to design, develop and test new data capture products* Collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team including Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical and Manufacturing Engineers* Occasionally interfaces with external partners, vendors and customers* Reviews test results and performs root cause analyses to identify problems* Runs tests designed by more experienced engineers.* Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems.* Responsible for circuit development and schematic entry* Performs electrical component selection* Creates and tests prototypes at the component or circuit level to verify they meet design requirements* Uses common electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-meters, Power Supplies, Frequency Generators, Logic analyzers, etc.* Directs and works with technicians to perform testing* Documents test requirements and results to ISO 9000 standards* Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity.* Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.* Makes changes to or upgrades existing electrical designs.
