Electrical Engineer - Automotive Electrical

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and testing of automotive electrical components. The successful candidate will work under the lead power electronics engineer and be responsible for a range of tasks related to power electronics.

Top Requirements:
  1. Perform key power electronics component analysis and evaluation, including power semiconductor, magnetics, capacitors, etc.
  2. Conduct Print Circuit Board (PCB) root cause analysis and provide recommendations.
  3. Execute system-level electrical performance evaluation and provide root cause analysis.
  4. Conduct PCBA and/or system-level UL/CE agency compliance analysis and tests.
  5. Support manufacturing engineers operating end-of-line equipment for EV charging products (may require a few weeks of travel during the contract period).
Technical Skills:

Must Have:

  1. PCBA board design and root cause analysis.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience in EMI/EMC designing, testing, and optimization for power electronics products.
  2. Understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes, and their characteristics.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in power electronics preferred.
  2. 3+ years of experience preferred.
  3. Experience in designing and evaluating high voltage PCB boards.
  4. Experience in designing/testing high voltage power converters preferred.
  5. Skilled in working in a lab environment with high voltage and current.
  6. Experience with product certification for UL/CE standards in power electronics products.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
Additional Requirements:
  • up to 90% Travel required
  • Valid North American Passport (Can, US, Mex)
