SSOE is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Electrical Engineer to work with a team of professional engineers on innovative projects in a transformational manufacturing growth sector. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques on work of small projects or on portions of larger projects.
  • Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  • May function as electrical team leader on selected projects, including meeting with the client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction as required.
  • Support project leaders on specific design tasks or calculations.
  • Typical design tasks include: power distribution at low and medium voltage, industrial lighting design, control and calculations, grounding system design, and power study analysis.
  • Exercises judgment in making adaptations or modifications to design concepts.
  • Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
  • May write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates.
  • Performs design work in Revit.
  • Travel required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • PE tracked preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related industrial and/or automotive experience preferred. Previous experience working at a consulting firm is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD platforms with emphasis on Revit.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the NEC and experience with power study software (SKM or ETAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a small team on mid to large-sized projects, from start to finish.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
