An established industry player is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in naval systems. This role involves addressing obsolescence issues and ensuring compliance with military standards. The Electrical Engineer role requires application of mature engineering knowledge in sustaining engineering activities, primarily addressing obsolescence issues on established designs for the U.S. Navy. Responsibilities include modifying guides, devising new approaches, applying criteria in innovative ways, and creating qualification test programs to validate obsolescence re-designs.
Key duties include:
Qualifications include at least 5 years of engineering experience, familiarity with military standards for electrical testing, and practical knowledge of schematics and PCB layouts. Experience with EMI standards MIL-STD-461 and electrical system packaging is advantageous.
Minimum education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
Additional requirements include eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) or security clearance.
