Electrical Engineer

Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary engineering firm that specializes in land development engineering, structural engineering, and building services (mechanical and electrical). They are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Kingston.

Responsibilities

• Planning, design, execution, and completion of projects for our clients.
• Commitment to high quality, optimized and the cost-effective delivery of Electrical Engineering projects ensuring safety, compliance, and overall client satisfaction.
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, training, and mentorship to their team.
• Act as the Project Manager, on single discipline projects ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with Project Management Department on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure the projects are moving forward as planned.
• Write proposals, project abstracts and technical reports.
• Building strong relationships with our clients and contributing to the continued growth and success of the Company.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering license with PEO (other provincial registrations considered an asset.)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with Electrical Engineering focus.
• 4+ years relevant working experience as an Engineer in an Engineering Consulting firm working on Industrial, Commercial and Residential building design experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and NFPA standards
• Design experience with power and lighting systems
