Qualifications

• Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technologist Diploma, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting in an industrial setting
• Experience with programming and configuring VFDs and DC control systems would be an asset
• Knowledge of industrial automation protocols such as Ethernet/IP
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and circuit design
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Certifications in relevant programming languages or systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) are a plus
• AutoCAD proficiency would be an asset

Daiken North America Ltdis seeking an Electrical/Electronics Technologistto work at our Huntsville, ON facility.

We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Technologist to join our dynamic team in the wood industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing programmable logic controller (PLC) programs to enhance the functionality and ensuring that our machinery operates at peak performance. You will also participate in the design and implementation of control systems and instrumentation, including hardware and specialized software integration, as well as contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

In addition to hands-on technical work, you will also be responsible for conducting tests and evaluations of electrical/electronic components, as well as maintaining detailed documentation of projects and system configurations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be adept at problem-solving, and have a solid understanding of electrical principles and practices.
