Role Overview

This role provides technical support to engineers to ensure the timely completion of project designs.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes delivered for our customers.

Job Description

The Electrical and Electronic Engineering function in Ultra supports the hardware development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and verification, to deliver electronic or electrical components and subassemblies into projects and products.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
  • Prepare and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment.
  • Document and report on project progress, including technical reports and presentations.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering technology.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Soldering skills; IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to work with Canadian Controlled Goods and US ITAR-controlled articles.
  • Capability to acquire NATO Reliability and Secret security clearance.
