Job summary

Gerrits Engineering Limited in Barrie, Ontario, seeks an Electrical Drafter/Designer to translate electrical designs into clear plans, drawings and specifications from early design through construction. The role is primarily CAD-based work at a computer, with site visits on your own or with the team.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering Technology.
• 2-4 years of experience in a drafting or design role.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32, ETAP, and Microsoft Suite.
• Understanding of relevant industry codes and standards and municipal by-laws.
• Experience and exposure to building systems, power distribution, lighting, and fire alarms.

We're looking for an Electrical Drafter/Designer to join our Barrie team. You'll work with engineers and project managers to turn electrical designs into clear plans, drawings and specifications, from early design through construction. Most of your time is spent on design work at your computer, with site visits on your own or with the team.
