The Role:
In your role as an Electrical Designer you will lead and contribute to the successful design, production, coordination and management of Traffic Signal Design and Lighting projects. You will develop traffic signal, lighting or auxiliary systems designs in AutoCAD and/or Microstation such as layout, single line diagrams, wiring schematics, photometric layouts, grounding details, prepare and review wire sizing, voltage drop and conduit capacity calculations. You will also be responsible for coordinating utilities for electrical infrastructure and transportation-related design and construction projects along with preparing technical reports, tender documentation, and providing field support such as commissioning, traffic signal turn-on, and site inspections.
You will ensure that Engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, analysis, budget estimates) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices, review drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with QA/QC programs and ensure that project deliverables are met in a timely manner to a high quality including engineering drawings and preparing final reports.
