Tetra Tech is adding an Electrical Designer to our Electrical team based in Vancouver, BC .

Our office specializes in small to mid-sized projects for clients across Canada. The types of clients we work for include:

  • Heavy Industrial Facilities
  • Pipelines and Refineries

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 per annum. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to:education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Your Role:

  • Collecting field information, equipment specification, completing as-built markups and field verification.
  • Develop drawings, motor schematics and wiring, logic diagrams, cable tray layouts, termination drawings, area class, material take-offs, prepare reports, code review and commissioning.
  • 3D electrical system design, including but not limited to cable tray routing.
  • Reviewing and evaluating technical work.
  • Coordinating activities with Technical Leads, Project Managers, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Work closely with other disciplines within the company and with clients.
  • Occasional travel within Canada may be required with travel time often concentrated in bunches.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.
