We’re looking for a detail-oriented and AutoCAD-savvy Electrical Design Technician / Electrical Drafter to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating and revising electrical drawings and bills of materials that power everything from switchgear to enclosures. You'll play a critical part in the design process, working closely with engineering, production, and customers to bring projects to life with accuracy and efficiency.
What You'll Do:
Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and connection drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D)
Create and manage bills of materials (BOM)
Release approved drawings and documentation to production
Revise drawing packages based on customer feedback and resubmit for approval
Collaborate with the production team to resolve issues during assembly and wiring
Ensure all designs are compliant with project specs and any existing equipment requirements
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Support other duties as assigned by supervisors and engineering management
What We're Looking For:
Education: Associate degree in Electrical Technology (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
1+ year drafting experience using AutoCAD
Experience with medium or low voltage design projects (switchgear-related )
Familiarity with electrical enclosures, cabinets, and related components
Knowledge of NEC, UL, ANSI, Utility ESR, CA Title 24, and State Seal processes
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
In-person, on-site role in Ontario, CA
