Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Associate to join the Toronto office. This leadership role involves managing and overseeing the electrical team, along with the projects - while fostering client relationships and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise with strong project management experience to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the electrical design and delivery of complex building projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, architectural, and structural groups, for seamless project execution.
  • Technical Design Expertise: Develop and review electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and renewable energy systems. Conduct detailed engineering calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, such as the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Business Development: Support business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal development. Strengthen the firm’s market presence through networking and industry involvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering for building design.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
