We're Hiring: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Scarborough, ON | Office | Global Leader in Electromechanical Equipment

Industry: Custom Machinery | Construction | Infrastructure | Automation

Are you a hands-on electrical engineer who thrives on designing complex electromechanical systems and seeing your ideas come to life?

Join a global leader in the design and manufacturing of large-scale construction equipment — each machine is custom-built, and no two projects are the same. You’ll be part of a tight-knit, 30-person engineering team based in Toronto, leading high-impact projects from concept to commissioning.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead electrical design across concept, schematics, panel layout, and integration with mechanical/hydraulic systems
• Work hands-on — troubleshoot, wire panels, and assist on-site with installs and testing
• Program and configure Schneider and Allen Bradley PLCs
• Collaborate with PMs, business dev, and field teams to ensure smooth delivery from proposal through to commissioning
• Mentor junior engineers and support R&D for next-gen products and revenue streams
• Travel occasionally to customer or subcontractor sites

What You Bring:

• 10+ years total, with 5+ years of North American experience in electrical engineering for custom machine design
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Expertise in AutoCAD Electrical, SoMachine, SoMove
• Experience in power/control calculations, industrial codes (CSA, ANSI), and hazardous location systems
• Knowledge of embedded controls (Atmel, ARM), programming in C/C++/Python, and IDEs like Arduino/Eclipse
• Passion for solving real-world problems with real-world tools — not just CAD but cables, tools, panels, and people
