Job summary

EllisDon is seeking an Electrical Coordinator in Ontario to lead on-site electrical activities, coordinate scopes, schedules, and documentation to ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and project requirements.

With a construction or electrical diploma and two years of experience, you will collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents, manage RFIs and shop drawings, and help drive milestone completion for complex electrical scopes.

Qualifications

• Construction or electrical degree/diploma with two years of electrical construction experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering systems, principles and practices.
• Experience working on a construction site.
• Ability to proactively identify and document problems and resolve them.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Electrical Scopes to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings and codes.
• Plan, direct and coordinate all on-site electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes.
• Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems.
• Provide direction during functional performance testing of all electrical systems.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFIs and shop drawings and administrate M&E project completion requirements.
• Assist and generate an M&E schedule for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation and inspection dates; coordinate with project schedule Track installation in the field and relate to upcoming milestone dates on schedule; be proactive in identifying tasks that may go past completion dates shown on schedule.
• M&E Construction and Commissioning Schedule Development
• Coordination of the Design/Build Electrical Scope (Project Specific)
• Maintain constant communication with your M&E sub trade(s) and follow up on a monthly basis to ensure deliverables and deadlines maintained
• Help develop M&E Scope of Work/ Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, estimate/ budget and related Subcontractor contracts

You As a Electrical Coordinator Will

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a construction or electrical related degree/diploma and two years of electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• You have a working knowledge of electrical engineering systems, principles and practices.
• You have experience working on a construction site.
• You have the ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them
• Salary range for the role is $65,000-$75,000 CAD
