Job summary

Davis-Standard Canada Inc. in Brampton is seeking an Electrical Machine Wire Panel Build team member to support the production line. You will follow electrical drawings, assemble components, and ensure that the production plan is executed efficiently to meet quality standards.

  • Maintain safe electrical procedures.
  • Report electrical or design errors to supervisor.
  • Inspect assemblies and subassemblies during the building of the machines.
  • Establish safe startup and lockout procedures.

The Machine Assembly – Electrical Machine wire Panel Build is a member of the production team. Primary responsibility is to ensure the production plan, as outlined by the supervisor followed. Ensure that the machine assembly processes are effective and efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow electrical drawings and schematics as well as assembly instruction sheets, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Use equipment and hand and power tools to accomplish assembly tasks
  • Plan and layout assembly sequence and procedures for specified parts
  • Assemble components and subassemblies
  • Practice safe and proper electrical procedures
  • Report all electrical or design errors to supervisor so that the problems can be addressed
  • Maintain good work habits and demonstrate good work ethic
  • Perform other duties or temporary jobs as may be assigned due to changing workloads and manpower requirements
  • Perform inspections of assemblies and subassemblies during the building of the machines, and a complete inspection of the machines prior to commissioning
  • Establish a safe working environment by following the companies guidelines with regard to the safe use of lock out procedures and proper start up procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Technical Degree and/or Demonstrate related equivalent experience in machine assembly
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and have excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented and can be counted on to meet and exceed goals successfully
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of technology
  • Excellent problem solving and good communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to operate I all areas of the plant as well as shop floor environment and around machinery
  • Ability to climb, walk, and light lift etc.
  • Able to work overtime shifts as required
