Job summary

Epiroc Laval, QC seeks an Electrical Assembler / Wire Technician to build and wire electrical components for product manufacturing. You will read drawings, follow specs, and assemble according to quality standards. Training provided by the company.

You will verify component conformity, perform in-process inspections, document results, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. The role requires dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar field is preferred.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams for projects.
  • Assemble and wire electrical products per drawings and specs.
  • Verify component and assembly conformity during manufacturing.
  • Perform in-process inspections and testing per quality plan.
  • Identify and report defects or non-conformities.
  • Assist Project Manager during final inspections and validation.
  • Complete daily time reports for assigned projects.
  • Use tools and materials properly; keep a clean, safe workspace.

The Electrical Assembler / Wire Technician is responsible for assembling and connecting the electrical components required for product manufacturing in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams applicable to assigned projects;
  • Assemble and wire electrical products according to drawings and technical specifications;
  • Verify the conformity of components and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process;
  • Perform and document in-process inspections and testing in accordance with the quality plan;
  • Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities;
  • Assist the Project Manager during final inspections, testing, and product validation;
  • Complete daily time reports associated with assigned projects;
  • Properly use the tools, equipment, and materials provided;
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams;
  • A vocational diploma in electromechanics or electricity is considered an asset;
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a similar field;
  • Good manual dexterity;
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Commitment to following health and safety procedures and wearing the required personal protective equipment.
